Personal branding for a practising CA
Consultation enquiries from 4 to 27 / month
A CA with strong technical skill had almost no online presence beyond a quiet LinkedIn. Referrals were drying up after COVID. We built a calm personal brand: short LinkedIn posts on GST mistakes MSMEs make, a simple one-page site, Google Business for the office, and a WhatsApp “book a tax review” link. Soft Meta ads ran only to business owners in Aurangabad. Consultation requests rose from about 4 a month to 27 — mostly GST, ITR and company compliance, not random tyre-kickers.
Where they were stuck
He did not want to look like an influencer. He worried ads would bring people asking for free advice. His website was a PDF brochure from 2019.
What we did together
Tone first: navy-blue trust, plain Marathi–English captions, no hype. Content calendar of 3 posts a week answering real client questions. Website with fees band transparency and a calendar/WhatsApp CTA. Light LinkedIn + Meta lead ads with a short form (business type + issue).
What changed
Pipeline became predictable before filing season. He now sends us screenshots of WhatsApp chats that start with “Saw your GST post.” That is the brand working.
In their words
“I was uncomfortable with marketing. They made it feel professional, not salesy. Good clients started coming with clear questions. My evenings are still busy — but with paying work.”
